Update as of March 2018: this issue has been resolved. Since that time, the rights have reverted back to me from a publisher and I’ve republished them with new covers. You can find the new books here on Amazon, free for Kindle Unlimited:
A Risk Worth Taking
A Bet Worth Making
**These books used to be split in half. Now, they are all combined again so if you only downloaded part 1, go into your kindle settings and click to “update” so you can download the new version and get the 2nd half of the story.
DON’T BUY IT AGAIN. If the update doesn’t work, email me (heatherhildenbr – at gmail) and I’ll make sure you get part 2 of the story. Sorry for the inconvenience. It’s a “behind the scenes in publishing” situation and I SO appreciate your patience!
P.S. Let me know what you think of the new covers!
FYI: As of this morning, Amazon has blocked A Risk Worth Taking book 2 from their site.
I have replied to their request for verifying copyright (which is usually a routine thing, albeit a pain in the ass) and instead of reading that first, they went ahead and just blocked the title while they go through their mails and get to mine.
I’ve put in a call and another email but now all I can do is wait. (The content review team doesn’t have a phone # to contact. Clearly, they don’t want the hassle of actually talking to customers.)
the book will go LIVE again as soon as I can resolve this with them. Sorry for the inconvenience but if you read on Kindle and are trying to get book 2, you can shop on Smashwords and download your format of choice there.
Thanks and so sorry for the inconvenience, guys! I know a lot of you downloaded book 1 free from Bookbub last week so this is basically the worst timing ever! If you have problems with Smashwords, don’t hesitate to email me and we’ll get you the book somehow. Thanks for reading!
Now I’m off to do yoga. Maybe while drinking wine. Ugh.
P.S. If you’re here to read more about ME and the craziness that is my life, I talk way more about all that stuff in my newsletter. You should subscribe. You won’t regret it. And if you’ve heard about #ShitMyHusbandSays, the newsletter is where you can read about that too. (He might have even more fans than I do at this point.)
